This textbook is designed to help students navigate the requirements of what is commonly considered “Composition II” or the “research paper” class at colleges. While some elements of rhetoric are considered, it assumes that students have the basic technical expertise to write a college essay. The focus of this textbook, then, is on how to explore a subject and how to find reliable and trustworthy sources of information.
